Lazy Sunday afternoon!
What a weekend! A busy day in the shop yesterday coupled with the AFL grand final. Then a beautiful day in the Perth sun shine today. And now… sitting on the veranda with a cup of tea watching the sun go down. I thought I would share my view with you- “Ah the serenity!”
Last night we ventured to Little Creatures in Fremantle (one of our favorites!). As usual we were looking for a relaxed environment to relax after a big week of being creative! The fabulous pizza and fermented fruits were as good as usual, however a fellow creative individual caught our eye!
Aaron Smyth is not your average balloon artist! There were no simple flowers or sausage dog balloon creations. Only amazing octopi complete with bubbles and snakes in a palm tree.
Thank goodness Elizabeth got his business card as this guy would be perfect for a party of any age! Here at Annie P we love the idea of the theme “When I was younger” or “Welcome to the Circus!” Food for thought for any age group whether it’s a 3rd, 21st or 50th birthday! Check him out at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Just-for-Kids-Perth/190138041018250
Annie P is proud to feature in the first Claremont Cottesloe Western Suburbs Urban Walkabout! Wednesday the 21st of September saw our staff frocked up for the launch at BouBar in Nedlands! See if you can spot any of our girls or boy in the photos! And yes the food was as amazing as it looks!
In the mean time why not check out the Urban Walkabout online at www.urbanwalkabout.com or come and visit us and grab your free copy.
PS: we especially love the art work of Pippa McManus.
EYE CANDY!
Pretty little things that we simply LOVE and wish we could take credit for, alas these are the creative genius of others.
We love being inspired by other creative types.

Vintage and Retro bicycles are highly sort after at the moment. Bob of Annie P was before his time when back in 2003 he had his old red Malvern Star bicycle branded with “Annie P” complete with a gorgeous floral design.
Today we celebrate the chiqueness of the ‘Vintage” bicycle with a range of inspired cards, personally designed by us.
… and you can still the “Annie Star” parked out the front of our shop every day!
Here at Annie P we are always on the look out for new and up coming Artists/ Graphic Designers and makers of pretty things! Our latest rainy-day June find is graphic artist Sophia Vinten. Recently her work as been see at numerous exhibitions including; DUETS ‘A Slice of Elation’ showing at SCRAPS, Northbridge, The PLC OCA Art Exhibition and TAFE’s Childhood Nostalgia Exhibition at Little Creatures, Fremantle.
What we love about Sophia’s style is her delicate use of mediums that gives her work a soft feminine feeling. Sophia also works with amazing attention to detail which gives her works life like characteristics whilst still echoing her own sense
of graphical style.
If you wish to discover more delights Sophia has to offer you can explore further at: http://www.facebook.com/sophiamonique.art?sk=info#!/sophiamonique.art
